Softball Recap: McKay Royal Scots vs. Crescent Valley Raiders

McKay extended their losing streak to seven on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-23 in the process. They came up short against the Crescent Valley Raiders, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in April.

As for Crescent Valley, their record is now 8-17. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

For Crescent Valley's part, Clara Fitts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fitts has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Abby Kessler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ashley Howitt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

As of now, neither McKay nor Crescent Valley have any future games scheduled.
