Westfield won the last time they faced Pendleton Heights and things went their way on Thursday too. The Shamrocks blew past the Arabians 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Shamrocks.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Westfield took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Georgia Bresnahan paced Westfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Bresnahan got some help from Emily Blevins and her 14 assists. Carsyn Comer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Pendleton Heights had strong showings from Stella Short, who had 12 digs and two assists, and Carmen Horn, who had nine kills, five digs, and two blocks. Horn is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 20 games she's played dating back to last season.

Westfield's record is now 2-0. As for Pendleton Heights, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Westfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Trinity Lutheran on the 23rd. As for Pendleton Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lawrence North on the 23rd.
