Hanover Central lost to Portage back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Indians 2-1. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Indians on their court since October 2, 2019.

Nora Edgerton paced Hanover Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Edgerton got some help from Gabi Esparza and her 12 assists. Esparza was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
