Volleyball Recap: Soquel Has No Trouble Against Scotts Valley

Soquel not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Scotts Valley Falcons 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Soquel was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-17.

Francisco Rothman-Salado paced Soquel's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rothman-Salado got some help from Isaac Koontz and his 22 assists.

Soquel's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10. As for Scotts Valley, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-18.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Soquel is set to square off against their familiar foe San Lorenzo Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Scotts Valley will face off against rival Santa Cruz at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
