Basketball Preview: Colonial Christian Cougars vs. Tabernacle Christian Eagles
Colonial Christian and the Eagles are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Colonial Christian Cougars will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tabernacle Christian Eagles at 7:15 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Colonial Christian and three for the Eagles.
On Friday, Colonial Christian took a serious blow against the Cougar, falling 71-37.
Meanwhile, Tabernacle Christian had to suffer through a rough 55-27 loss at the hands of the Saints. Tabernacle Christian was down 49-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Colonial Christian's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.5 points per game. As for Tabernacle Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
