Chandler (13-2) avenged an early season defeat to Mountain Pointe of Phoenix by handing them a 36-17 setback on Nov. 26 for the Arizona 6A state title. It was the Wolves second title over the past three seasons and the school's third overall.

Prior to the Football TOC trophy ceremony which was set to take place during halftime of the boys varsity basketball game, the students and fans had a chance to see the Army National Guard national ranking trophy up close and talk to Sergeant Taylor Heredia of the Arizona Army National Guard.

At the start of the halftime period, MaxPreps representative Ray Dungee introduced the Tour of Champions and congratulated the team by telling the crowd that the Chandler football team finished ranked No. 12 in the nation out of 15,000 football teams across the country.

For the main event, Dungee introduced SGT Heredia who spoke about the commitment to excellence the coaching staff has instilled within the school and football team. SGT Heredia then paralleled the qualities found on a championship team with those found in the Army National Guard, including commitment, dedication, hard work, perseverance and more. He then presented the Army National Guard national ranking trophy to head coach Shaun Aguano and his state championship team.

Coach Aguano was thrilled and humbled by this national attention and thanked both the Army National Guard and MaxPreps for recognizing the hard work it took to get to the top of championship podium.

Congratulations once again to the Wolves on a great season and high national ranking!
