Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask West Seneca East). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Kenmore East Bulldogs 75-47. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
West Seneca East was led to victory by  Madelyn Marcezin and  Melanie Marcezin.  Madelyn  dropped  a double-double on 24  points and 11  steals, while  Melanie  went 6 of 13  on her way to 19 points along with seven  assists and seven  rebounds. Those seven  assists gave  Melanie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bella Holtmart, who  went 5 for 7  en route to 10  points.
 West Seneca East  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in eight consecutive  games.
West Seneca East's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Kenmore East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 The future could be bright for both West Seneca East and Kenmore East: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. West Seneca East will look to extend Cleveland Hill's three-game losing streak when the meet  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kenmore East will try to hand Lockport their fourth-straight  loss when the two meet  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
