There's no place like home for Timothy Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Illiana Christian Vikings 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Timothy Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Trevor Munk paced Timothy Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Munk got some help from Owen Wise and his 28 assists. James Matousek controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Illiana Christian lost on Monday, don't look at Max Van Beek. Despite the final result, he had 11 digs.

Timothy Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Illiana Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Timothy Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Chicago Christian on the 29th. As for Illiana Christian, they will face off against Lake Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
