Baseball Recap: Campo Verde Comes Up Short

The Campo Verde Coyotes came up short against the Canyon View Jaguars on Wednesday, falling 9-3. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaden Evahnenko made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. He also launched a home run, marking his first of the season.

Campo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Canyon View, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campo Verde will take on Mesquite at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Canyon View, they will square off against North Canyon at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars are facing the Rattlers at the right time seeing as the Rattlers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
