Preview: Bemidji Lumberjacks vs. Park Rapids Panthers
The Bemidji Lumberjacks will head out on the road to face off against the Park Rapids Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bemidji knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Park Rapids likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bemidji beat Grand Rapids 55-51. That 55-51 margin sets a new team best for Bemidji this season.
Meanwhile, Park Rapids took a serious blow against Nevis on Monday, falling 80-53. Park Rapids has struggled against Nevis recently, as their contest on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Ryan Carroll, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Noah Larson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Bemidji's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4. As for Park Rapids, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-3.
