North Stokes lost to Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy back in April of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Vikings secured a 22-18 W over the Phoenix. The game was the first time the Vikings have beaten the Phoenix on their field since October 23, 2015.

Among those leading the charge was Noah Bennett, who threw for 210 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 78 yards.

Despite the defeat, Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jamari Wilson rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 115 yards and one TD on only ten passes. Wilson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging an interception.

The victory made it two in a row for North Stokes and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
