Soccer Game Preview: Worthington Kilbourne vs. Westerville South

The Worthington Kilbourne Wolves will take on the Westerville South Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Worthington Kilbourne is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Westerville North on Thursday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Worthington Kilbourne couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Westerville South came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Greyhounds 4-1. Four seems to be a good number for Westerville South as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Worthington Kilbourne has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-3 record this season. As for Westerville South, their win bumped their record up to 6-8-1.
