Softball Recap: Red Hook Takes a Loss

If Red Hook was feeling good fresh off their 17-5 takedown of Ellenville last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the Saugerties Sawyers on Tuesday, falling 17-10. The Raiders have struggled against the Sawyers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Red Hook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Saugerties, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Hook will head out to challenge Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders are facing the Ravens at the right time seeing as the Ravens are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Saugerties, they are taking a road trip to face off against Our Lady of Lourdes at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
