There's no place like home for Lincoln-Way West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Yorkville Foxes on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lincoln-Way West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-16, 25-21.

Lincoln-Way West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Rozga, who had 11 digs and three assists. Rozga is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The win got Lincoln-Way West back to even at 4-4. As for Yorkville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Lincoln-Way West will be playing at home against Freeburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yorkville, they will square off against Metea Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
