Center Point came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Charlotte Trojans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Center Point walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-11.

Cobee Beckerson paced Center Point's offense, picking up 12 kills. Beckerson got some help from Kaylani Ritter and her 15 assists. Christina Reyes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Center Point's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Charlotte, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Center Point and Charlotte will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pirates are set to face off against their familiar foe Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Charlotte will challenge rival La Pryor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
