Basketball Game Preview: Mancos Bluejays vs. Rangely Panthers

The Mancos Bluejays and the Rangely Panthers will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Mancos and four for Rangely.

Mancos is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dolores Huerta Prep.

Meanwhile, Rangely came up short against Rye on Friday and fell 53-40.

Rangely's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mancos, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Mancos strolled past Rangely when the teams last played back in December of 2014 by a score of 65-49. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Rangely's Patrick Scoggins, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be easier for Mancos to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
