Saltillo had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the Fannindel Falcons 70-53 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

Despite the loss, Fannindel saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kor'Ziareona Aubrey posted 38 points and eight rebounds. Korshonti Aubrey was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 boards.

Saltillo's victory bumped their record up to 29-6. As for Fannindel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-18.

Looking ahead, Saltillo will face off against Bellevue on Thursday. Bellevue has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Fannindel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
