Basketball Recap: Morgan City Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Morgan City challenged Destrehan on Monday. The Morgan City Tigers received a blow as they fell 58-40 to the Destrehan Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Wildcats are ranked 105th).

Morgan City has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Destrehan, their win bumped their record up to 18-16.

Morgan City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-32 loss against Jeanerette on the 14th. Destrehan has also already played their next contest (against De La Salle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
