Basketball Recap: Mt. St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short

Mt. St. Joseph Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Brattleboro Bears and fell 87-52. The Green Wave were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-16.

Brattleboro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Cady out in front who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, Cady also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Dawson Wheeler was another key player, going 5-for-6 to rack up 16 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Brattleboro, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-49 defeat against Mount Anthony on the 19th. As for Brattleboro, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-51 loss against Burr & Burton on the 21st.
