Franklin Towne strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Central Lancers. The five-run effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Abigail Pelczar was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan DeLaurentis, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Franklin Towne's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average this season. As for Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Towne will challenge Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will square off against Philadelphia Performing Arts at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
