Basketball Recap: Terrell's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Terrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 62-45 fall against the Turner Lions.

Turner's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Stone, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Leo Portillo, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Terrell's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11. As for Turner, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Terrell will host Gateway Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Turner, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Worth THESA at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Turner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
