Baseball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Calvary Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-3 to the Haughton Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 last Thursday.

Calvary Baptist Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JK Morgan, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those two hits gave Morgan a new career-high.

Calvary Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Haughton, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist Academy will take on Family Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Haughton, they will challenge Parkway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
