Draughn is 9-1 against East Burke since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Draughn is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Wednesday, Draughn beat Highland Tech 3-1.

Draughn was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (92-91), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 15-25, 25-20, 26-24.

East Burke not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0). They blew past East Rutherford 3-0.

While East Burke might've won, it sure wasn't easy: East Rutherford scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.

Draughn better focus on containing Carissa Towery and Addie Brittain as the pair were huge in East Burke's win. Towery had five digs and one block, while Brittain had six digs. That's the most digs Brittain has posted since back in September.

Draughn's record now sits at 16-5. As for East Burke, their record is now 8-14.

Everything went Draughn's way against East Burke in their previous meeting back in September, as Draughn made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
