Football Recap: Roland Comes Up Short

Roland fell victim to Heavener and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 48-21 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kayden Hartt threw for 69 yards on eight of 20 attempts. Caden Davidson was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Roland and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Heavener, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Roland will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Bethel at 7:00 p.m. The Rangers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Heavener, they are taking a road trip to square off against Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redskins will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
