Recap: Cooperstown Hawkeyes vs. Delaware Academy Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the Cooperstown Hawkeyes unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-42 walloping at the hands of Delaware Academy. Cooperstown has struggled against Delaware Academy recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Cooperstown still got an impressive performance from Charlie Lambert, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Lambert scored a full 33.3% of Cooperstown's points, the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jackson Crisman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Cooperstown's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Delaware Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Cooperstown's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Delaware Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Deposit-Hancock at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
