Meanwhile, Ursuline Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Mehlville a 5-0 shutout on Monday.
Valley Park now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Ursuline Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
