Volleyball Game Preview: Mount Notre Dame vs. St. Ursula Academy Arrows

Mount Notre Dame will challenge the St. Ursula Academy Arrows at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mount Notre Dame is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Mount Notre Dame is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: St. Ursula Academy, who was ranked 14th at the time (Mount Notre Dame was ranked 17th). Mount Notre Dame fell 3-1 to St. Ursula Academy on Thursday. While Mount Notre Dame didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating St. Ursula Academy 25-17 in the first set.

Mount Notre Dame started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-18.

Meanwhile, St. Ursula Academy lost 3-0 to Mercy on Wednesday.

While St. Ursula Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.

Mount Notre Dame will have to keep a close watch on Blake Schroyer and Mia Hasty, a pair of players who had a big impact on St. Ursula Academy's prior game. Schroyer had five digs and four aces, while Hasty had eight digs and five assists.

St. Ursula Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mount Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
