Basketball Recap: Powell County Takes a Loss

Powell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 57-46 to the Estill County Engineers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-36 two weeks ago.

Powell County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Estill County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Powell County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-37 victory against Buckhorn on the 1st. As for Estill County, they will square off against Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
