Basketball Game Preview: Caledonia-Mumford Raiders vs. Wayland-Cohocton Eagles

The Caledonia-Mumford Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caledonia-Mumford is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Caledonia-Mumford took a blow against Geneseo, falling 63-33. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly 30 points.

Despite their loss, Caledonia-Mumford saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sean McNear, who posted four points and seven boards, was perhaps the best of all. Frankie Pabis also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Meanwhile, Wayland-Cohocton entered their game against Livonia on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Wayland-Cohocton fell 61-54 to Livonia. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caledonia-Mumford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Wayland-Cohocton, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-9.

Caledonia-Mumford took their win against Wayland-Cohocton in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 by a conclusive 79-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Caledonia-Mumford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
