Baseball Recap: Overland Takes a Loss

Overland couldn't beat Aurora Central on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Trailblazers lost 15-5 to the Trojans. The Trailblazers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 14-4.

Overland saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malachi Gross, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Overland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Aurora Central, their record now sits at 7-10.

Overland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aurora Central, they will take on Englewood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
