Baseball Recap: Sewickley Academy vs. Bethlehem Center Bulldogs

Sewickley Academy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 5-12 in the process. They lost 16-9 to the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs. If Sewickley Academy was looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to Bethlehem Center when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Austin Fritz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Charlie Scally, who went 2-for-5 with one run and one double.

As for Bethlehem Center, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-11. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Bethlehem Center's side, Eli Wright made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Wright was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.
