Football Recap: Premont Cowboys vs. Refugio Bobcats
Premont fell victim to Refugio and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 56-0 defeat at the hands of the Refugio Bobcats. That makes it the first time this season the Cowboys have let down their home crowd.
It was another big night for Jordan King, who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries for Refugio. King's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 128 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another back making a difference was Ray Lewis, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Premont and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Refugio, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Premont will take on Freer on Friday. As for Refugio, they will face off against Kaufer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Refugio will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
