Two dominant backs in Kolter Mann and Hunter Lynch are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cedaredge Bruins will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Olathe Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Cedaredge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 29.8 points per game this season.

On Saturday, Cedaredge strolled past Prospect Ridge Academy with points to spare, taking the game 30-16. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Meanwhile, Olathe entered their game against Meeker on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pirates were dealt a 41-7 loss at the hands of the Cowboys. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Olathe's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Cedaredge, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Cedaredge has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Olathe struggles in that department as they've been averaging 178.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything came up roses for Cedaredge against Olathe when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-12 win. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
