Volleyball Recap: Otis-Bison Takes a Loss

Otis-Bison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hoisington Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-8.

Otis-Bison's offense was headlined by Emma Bahr and Lily Schwindt, who picked up two kills apiece. Bahr really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with three.

Among those leading the charge was Miya Nachtigal, who had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Otis-Bison's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Hoisington, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Otis-Bison has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Chase on the 30th. As for Hoisington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Smoky Valley on the 30th.
