Basketball Recap: Martinsville Takes a Loss

Martinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 74-49 to the Wells Pirates. If Martinsville was looking for revenge after losing 64-57 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Martinsville's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Wells, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martinsville will venture away from home to square off against Zavalla at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wells, they will challenge Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Wells likes a good challenge.
