Mt. Pleasant was forced to take a big loss against Garber on Friday, they got the better of them on Friday. The Oilers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Dukes an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Oilers have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Drew Arntz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Mt. Pleasant: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-8 otherwise. Brody Binder was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Mt. Pleasant now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Garber, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Coming up, Mt. Pleasant will face off against Midland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Garber, they will head out to square off against Birch Run at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
