Recap: Miami Vandals vs. Horizon Honors Eagles

Miami was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 20-3 defeat at the hands of the Horizon Honors Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Miami of the 19-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Miami saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Gonzales, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Horizon Honors, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Miami will be playing in front of their home fans against Globe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Miami is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Horizon Honors, they will head out on the road to take on Santa Cruz Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
