Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact the Durham Academy Cavaliers proved on Friday. They took down North Raleigh Christian Academy 65-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Durham Academy.

Durham Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Dorsette II, who scored 12 points along with six assists. PJ Jeffries was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

North Raleigh Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cody Dickerson, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Brennen Jefferson, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Durham Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durham Academy will take on Ravenscroft at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ravenscroft is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Cary Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Cary Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully North Raleigh Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
