Softball Recap: Galesburg-Augusta Gets the Win

Galesburg-Augusta won the last time they faced Saugatuck and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rams came out on top against the Trailblazers by a score of 13-8. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly five runs.

Lilli Thompson was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brianna Keene, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Galesburg-Augusta and bumps their season record up to 3-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Saugatuck, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
