Baseball Game Preview: Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls vs. Point Pleasant Boro Panthers

Point Pleasant Beach is 0-8 against Point Pleasant Boro since May of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Garnet Gulls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 3:45 p.m. Point Pleasant Beach is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Point Pleasant Beach gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over Brick Township.

ANTONIO ACEVEDO was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. ACEVEDO was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Point Pleasant Beach let TOMMY CONROY and BRODY POWERS run wild. CONROY went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while POWERS scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits CONROY has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of DAN COLEMAN, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Point Pleasant Boro came up short against Rumson-Fair Haven on Saturday and fell 10-7.

Point Pleasant Boro now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Point Pleasant Beach, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
