It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Forsyth had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the North Paulding Wolfpack a 5-0 shutout. West Forsyth might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by three goals or more this season.

They hit North Paulding with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abby Batts (3), AnnMarie Rudloff, and Marlee Raymond.

The win was the 11th in a row for West Forsyth, bringing their record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 53 goals over those 11 matches. As for North Paulding, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-6.

Looking ahead, West Forsyth will take on Buford on Thursday. Buford's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so West Forsyth's offense will have their work cut out for them. North Paulding does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
