It was a good run, but Canyon Lake unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Boerne-Champion Chargers. Canyon Lake was not able to make up for their defeat to Boerne-Champion from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Kylie Rodriguez paced Canyon Lake's offense, picking up seven kills. Rodriguez got some help from Chloe Gray and her 14 assists. Rodriguez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Canyon Lake's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Boerne-Champion, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Canyon Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Wimberley on the 29th. As for Boerne-Champion, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Stevens on the 29th.
