Baseball Recap: McKeesport Takes a Loss

McKeesport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Fort Cherry Rangers.

McKeesport saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Gergely, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

McKeesport's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Fort Cherry, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKeesport will face off against Montour at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Cherry, they will take on Chartiers-Houston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
