Baseball Recap: Socorro Comes Up Short

Socorro suffered their biggest defeat since February 17th on Saturday. They came up short against the Coronado Thunderbirds, falling 14-2. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderbirds earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Socorro's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Coronado, they pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Socorro will take on Montwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coronado, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Coronado Thunderbirds challenge Eastlake Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Eastlake has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
