Softball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Milford Tigers, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 last Tuesday.

Monticello saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elise Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Milford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will take on Pinnacle at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Milford, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Millard at 3:30 p.m. on April 9.
