Softball Game Preview: Burton Panthers vs. Big Sandy Wildcats

For the second straight game, Burton will face off against Big Sandy. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burton is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Burton came out on top against Big Sandy on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Panthers blew past the Wildcats 12-1. Considering the Panthers have won 12 contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Burton pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Big Sandy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-15.
