Baseball Recap: Lake Buena Vista Takes a Loss

Lake Buena Vista was the 7-4 winner over Gateway when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lake Buena Vista Vipers came up short against the Gateway Panthers on Tuesday, falling 12-4.

Lake Buena Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dixson Gil, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases. The dominant performance gave Gil a new career-high in stolen bases. Justin Carlucci-Harris also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Lake Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Gateway, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Lake Buena Vista will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Legacy Charter at 6:00 p.m. Legacy Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Gateway, they will head out on the road to square off against Wekiva at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
