Baseball Recap: Lexington Eagles vs. Franklin Lions

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 12-8 to the Franklin Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-4 last Tuesday.

Mason Beck made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Peyton Stevens was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Franklin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.

Lexington is taking a road trip to take on Thrall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against El Campo at 1:00 p.m.
