Baseball Game Preview: White Oak Vikings vs. Lejeune Devilpups

The White Oak Vikings will face off against the Lejeune Devilpups at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

White Oak came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Southwest Onslow, falling 16-6. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Vikings' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Lejeune fell victim to Lakewood and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 16-0 to the Leopards. The loss continues a trend for the Devilpups in their meetings with the Leopards: they've now lost six in a row.

White Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lejeune, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

White Oak skirted past Lejeune 8-7 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Devilpups have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
