Football Recap: Mahomet-Seymour Skates Past Richwoods with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mahomet-Seymour). They breezed past the Richwoods Knights to the tune of 63-14 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mahomet-Seymour's defense and their five sacks. Pierce Douglas was especially locked on to Richwoods' QB and sacked him twice.

The victory (which was Mahomet-Seymour's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for Richwoods, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7-1.

As of now, neither Mahomet-Seymour nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
